3d Digital drawings
In the fall of 2022, the Jenisch Museum in Vevey has grant an artist residency to Alexia Weill.
For the first time, immersive digital drawing is used by the artist to create a series of drawings inspired by the Museum's collections.
By linking the real and the virtual, Alexia Weill offers an organic approach to creation in the form of exploration. Virtual reality (VR) technological tools allow him to use 3D drawing software in the immersive space and to explore the creation of the 3D sketch with this technique.
Propelled inside a huge white studio thanks to the VR headset, the artist created 3D drawings. A selection of her creations is presented on the occasion of Museum Night on May 13, 2023 in the form of an animated film with a soundtrack created by Didier De Giorgi that immerses the viewer in the artistic universe of the creator.
